About

Ink Bound is a macOS app for preparing batches of digital photos for fixed-size photo printing. The workflow is built for speed: open a project, move photo by photo, adjust the crop, approve it, and export only what’s ready.

The Workflow

Photos are grouped in a left navigator by source folder. Select one, drag and zoom it behind the print frame until the crop looks right, hit space to approve, and move on. Filters let you quickly see what’s been approved and what still needs attention before export.

Approved photos are exported to a destination folder, automatically grouped into subfolders by print size — 4x6/, 5x7/, 4x4/. No manual sorting needed. Rectangular sizes auto-orient per photo: a 4x6 project gives portrait photos a 4x6 crop and landscape photos a 6x4.

Built for macOS

Ink Bound runs as a native macOS desktop app. No sandboxing means it can reliably read any folder on your machine and write exports wherever you choose.

WHAT IS INK BOUND FOR?
Preparing batches of digital photos for fixed-size photo printing. You crop and approve each photo for its target print size, then export the whole batch in one go.
WHAT PRINT SIZES ARE SUPPORTED?
4x4, 4x6, 6x4, 5x7, and 7x5 are built in. Each photo can override the project default.
DOES IT WORK WITH RAW FILES?
v1 supports JPEG and PNG. HEIC and RAW support is planned for a future update.
IS IT FREE?
Yes — no subscriptions, no in-app purchases.
