About

Scan Quest is a vocabulary-building game for multilingual households. QR codes go on household objects — kids scan them to hear and see each object’s name in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, building vocabulary through discovery and play.

How It Works

Place QR codes on objects around your home. Your child scans a code and the app plays the word in their chosen language, with matching text on screen. Wrong-room wanderers get gentle nudges: “That’s the refrigerator! But I’m looking for the lamp — keep looking!”

Game Modes

  • Discovery Mode — Scan any object to learn its name in all three languages
  • Find-It Mode — The app calls out an object; kids have to find and scan it
  • Match the Word — A written word appears; kids scan the matching object
  • Spell-It Mode — Letter-matching after scanning, bridging vocabulary and early reading
  • Daily Challenge — Parent-curated lists to focus on a room, category, or goal

For Parents

Create objects, record audio, assign categories, and print QR codes all from the parent dashboard. Set individual daily challenges per child, track points, and manage a real-world reward system.

WHAT AGE IS SCAN QUEST FOR?
Designed for 5-year-olds and up — kids who can hold a phone and tap a screen. Parents handle setup; kids do the exploring.
HOW DO THE QR CODES WORK?
You create objects in the app, print their QR codes, and stick them on real household objects. Kids scan the codes to hear and see the word in multiple languages.
DOES IT NEED INTERNET?
No. Once set up, it works completely offline — perfect for playing anywhere.
